San DIego AGAIN - Back in the USA

Sorry we have been so negligent but we've been fighting nature going head on into the wind and waves at 5 knots if that heading north. What a fight. We have had fuel issues, air in line, clogged filters, blah blah blah. The rough seas and constand pounding stir up the old crud that we had in the bottom of the fuel tank, it's 37 years old and who knows when it was cleaned, if ever. So we came here and had it cleaned and drilled inspection ports on the top of it (it's aluminum) so we could clean it and check it in the future. Then, IT STARTED LEAKING IN OUR BILGE. Diesel, and we had to empty the tank of the new gas and remove the spilled diesel in the bilge and take out the whole flipping gas tank, it was one ooey gooey mess. OMG, I'll attach pics when I get settled. So today we got a guy to build us a new one. The people here at the fuel dock have been so awesome and the boss Don and the young men he has working for him have treated us like gold. They have helped us more than you can imagine, what good people, truly "salt of the earth" types. Makes you believe in the world of man again eh? Then we'll find a place to leave the boat awhile and head to Reno and then to Utah for time out and visiting all our loved ones. Miss ya'll so much. We have to thank you all for your patience with us as we travel around like young kids trying to enjoy life in between our crazy trial with nature and the boat. I have to give Scott huge Kudos for being so cheerful no matter what. He is my anchor and you are all my sails!!!! As we were sailing North we had a cute fisherman get on the VHF radio and sing us a song, "GOODBYE MY FRIENDS GOODBYE", so cute. The fisherman are so awesome, God bless them.
